Michelle has served as the Executive Director of Snake River Animal Shelter for almost four years and has used her passion for animal rescue to inspire the most significant changes in animal welfare in our city including spearheading the banning of public sales of dogs and cats by backyard breeders, start the first low cost community spay and neuter clinic, increase adoptions nearly 20% year over year, and make Snake River Animal Shelter into an award-winning facility. Michelle has a passion for serving her community in a variety of ways and is currently in her tenth year on the Idaho Falls City Council. She shares four children with her husband Dayne. In her spare time, she enjoys singing, bike riding, and reading.
