Idaho Falls Public Library Programs & Services and New Legislation.

Beth Swenson grew up in Idaho Falls and is a graduate of Idaho Falls High School. In 2001, she started her career in libraries, and she has done a little bit of everything: shelving, research, outreach, management, and story time. She even drove a bookmobile! She obtained a Bachelor of Science in history from BYU-Idaho, and she earned her Master of Library and Information Science from the University of North Texas in 2012.

Currently, she's one of the assistant directors at the Idaho Falls Public Library, where she spends her days creating fulfilling programs and reading challenges for teens and adults. She is also tasked with Community Engagement, which means she spends a lot of time telling people how awesome the library is.

Robert Wright was born and raised in Eastern Idaho in a family with six brothers and four sisters.  He attended Rigby High School, Ricks College, and Brigham Young University.  Not understanding that college and university were intended to help you prepare for a vocation, he holds degrees in Physics, Asian Studies, and Library and Information Sciences. He has been married to the very patient Debra Wright for 41 years and they have 10 children and 27 grandchildren.  Robert has worked as a library director for 33 years with 2 years in Saipan and 31 years in Idaho public libraries.  He has been the director at the Idaho Falls Public Library for 21 years.
